Water Iris

I must say, the bokeh effect in the backdrop created by the capture of your parent's fountain is wonderful; it seems just so behind the subject, and it's overall palette so subdued, that it creates a great balance.

Now the subject: a lovely Iris! These pristine flowers are one of my favourites, and I truly appreciate the focus on them here. Your focal depth has captured so many intricate details in the petals, the stem and the like and it's mesmerizing.

One final note: I really like how the stem leads my eye up into the photo. The fact that it's not perfect in it's symmetry is great feature, too: it makes for a more interesting and captivating piece.
