Amur Tiger Cub

Panthera tigris altaica.

One should not have favourites, but I loved the year old Amur tiger cubs. They were also the friendliest cats at the park (in my opinion, although when they become adults that may change..), as they (one especially) kept coming up to the fence and rubbing the bars/ chuffing and making affectionate moaning sounds. One of the sisters was more dangerous than the other two though (she was behaving nasty aggressive as opposed to 'I just want food' aggressive..)..

The friendlier cub (apparently she used to be the most pushy), came up to me and looked me in the eyes. She put her nose right in the centre of my lens, and took me, and the professional staff member a little by surprise. I did not want to leave the tigers....I love them.

Female Amur tiger cub (one year old). There are three female cubs at present. One was shy, one was aggressive, and one was confident/friendly. All three are incredibly special and beautiful tigers.
